Man convicted in murders of wife and 3 relatives in West Chester

A three-judge panel found Gurpreet Singh guilty of four counts of aggravated murder for killing his wife and three family members in April 2019. The victims were shot to death inside their West Chester apartment. The sentencing phase will start on Monday morning. During the trial, prosecutors argued that Singh systematically shot his family members and disposed of the gun in a pond. They believe Singh’s affair, strained relationship with his father-in-law, and financial problems were motives for the murders. The defense claimed Singh only lied about finding his family bleeding and did not commit the murders, pointing to a neighbor’s testimony of seeing someone flee after gunshots. Singh maintains he only held his wife after she was shot.
