Mandy Moore Shares Major Life Announcement

Mandy Moore has made a noteworthy announcement: she is putting her beloved residence up for sale. The *This Is Us* star recently took to Instagram to break the bittersweet news, revealing that her meticulously renovated family home is now on the market for $6 million.

Reflecting on the decision, Moore expressed mixed emotions. She wrote, “Today, our home that we lovingly restored from the studs, is available for its next chapter and owner. It’s bittersweet as @taylordawesgoldsmith and I got engaged, married, and brought home 2 babies here but I’m thrilled to see who she goes to next.” The central reason for the move is the anticipated arrival of their third child, prompting the need for more living space.

The residence in question is a 1950s-era home located in Pasadena, California. Moore and her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, bought the house in 2016 for $2.5 million. Since then, they have restored it to highlight its mid-century charm while embracing the quintessential Southern California lifestyle.

Situated atop a hill, the property offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and mountains. The exterior is lush with an assortment of plants, flowers, and trees. Outdoor amenities are equally impressive, featuring a pool, a sheltered dining area, an outdoor kitchen, and a cozy fire pit, according to Realtor.com.

Covering 3,551 square feet, the interior of the home includes three bedrooms. Moore and Goldsmith teamed up with a local dream team for the renovation: architect Emily Franham, interior designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, and landscape architecture firm Terremoto. Interestingly, Moore plans to collaborate with the same group of professionals on her next home project.

Inside, the house exudes elegance with terrazzo flooring, expansive windows, and a striking copper fireplace hood that divides the living and dining areas. The kitchen, adorned in shades of green and gray, features ample counter space, a marble island with seating, open shelving, and a nearby pantry.

The primary bedroom is described as “a true retreat,” featuring “heated floors,” a “huge walk-in closet,” and a “spa-like bathroom,” as reported by *Hello*. Originally designed by renowned architect Harold B. Zook, the property sits on an expansive acre and a half. Its hilltop location offers unparalleled views and is conveniently close to the famous Rose Bowl flea market, held every Sunday.

The listing, according to *Hello*, depicts the home as “the perfect Pasadena hilltop perch,” highlighting its unique elements: “From the stacked brick facade curving into the entry and living room, to the aggregate bench hearth in the family room amplifying the artistry of terrazzo floors, elegance and welcome are the mantra.”

Moore’s decision to sell comes shortly after she announced that she and Goldsmith are expecting their third child, a girl. This news, shared on May 31, adds another exciting chapter to the couple’s growing family story.
