Marvel Reveals What Happens When Deadpool Dies

“Deadpool: The End” begins at the very conclusion of the Marvel Universe. We find Deadpool on the brink of taking out the cosmic entity, Death, expressing his desire to live forever. Before he can go through with his plan, Deadpool is interrupted by a figure in a Deadpool mech suit. After a fierce battle ensues, it is revealed that the person inside the suit is none other than Ellie Wilson, Deadpool’s daughter.

Wade, clearly emotional, tells the 97-year-old Ellie how unfair it is that he gets to live while she must face death. His intent to kill Death was aimed at keeping Ellie alive. Ellie, however, has a different plan. She discloses that she has built a special bomb designed to incinerate both of them and effectively end their existence together.

Upon hearing this, Deadpool breaks down, overwhelmed by the realization that he can finally die, and more importantly, alongside his daughter. The pair share a heartfelt moment, promising love to each other as they vanish into the cosmic void.

Soon after, Deadpool’s soul regenerates. He confirms with Death that Ellie has moved on to a better place. Now, Deadpool is granted the chance to live for eternity in the Realm of Death. The devil Mephisto is present, chained and watching from the sidelines. This situation sheds light on a previous deal where Deadpool had promised his soul to Mephisto if he didn’t kill Ellie.

As Wade delves into the details, it becomes evident that while it seemed Ellie killed herself, she was, in fact, driven to that point by Wade’s actions. Essentially, this means Wade did kill his own daughter. As a result, not only does Mephisto lose his claim on Deadpool’s soul, but he also forfeits his title as the King of the Underworld to the irrepressible mercenary.

Despite his death, Deadpool carries on, this time with Death alongside him.
