Massachusetts police crackdown on burglary ring responsible for $4 million jewelry theft spree spanning six years

The Massachusetts State Police dismantled a burglary ring responsible for stealing over $4 million in jewelry, primarily from South Asian homes in more than 25 communities over six years. Two brothers were among four indicted after a nine-month investigation, facing multiple charges related to unarmed burglary and breaking into homes during the day. The gang targeted South Asian homes for their perceived abundance of jewelry, stealing items like diamonds, gems, and gold accessories, as well as cash. The suspects were described as sophisticated, intentionally avoiding detection by alarms and minimizing cell phone usage. Law enforcement officials emphasized the importance of dismantling criminal networks and protecting communities from such bold criminal activity.
