Meet the Official Members of HYBE x Geffen Records Global Girl Group

KATSEYE fans, the wait is finally over! “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE” is now streaming on Netflix. This docuseries reveals how six incredibly talented young women came together to form the global girl group. The process wasn’t easy, but these young women worked tirelessly to earn their place in the spotlight.

The journey began with extensive auditions held worldwide. From over 120,000 applicants, HYBE and Geffen Records narrowed down the list to just 20 contestants. These women underwent rigorous training to secure a spot in HYBE and Geffen Records’ first-ever global girl group. However, with only six spots available, the competition was fierce.

To make the final selection, a survival show titled “The Debut: Dream Academy” was introduced. All 20 contestants participated in multiple missions, judged by both HYBE and Geffen Records’ higher-ups and the fans. This world-class audition program cut the list down to 10 contestants.

In a live finale event held in Los Angeles, the remaining 10 contestants performed, and the final six members of the group were announced. Here’s a closer look at the official KATSEYE members along with some fun facts about each one.

Sophia was 20 years old during the filming of “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.” Born on December 31, 2002, in the Philippines, she is now 21 years old and her zodiac sign is Capricorn.

At the onset of filming, Daniela was 18 years old. Born on July 1, 2004, she is currently 20 years old and her zodiac sign is Cancer. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, she is of Cuban and Venezuelan descent.

Lara was 17 years old during the Netflix music docuseries’ filming. She was born on November 3, 2005, making her currently 18 years old. Her zodiac sign is Scorpio, and she is of Indian descent.

Manon was 21 years old at the time of filming. Born on June 26, 2002, in Zürich, Switzerland, she is currently 22 years old as of August 2024. Her zodiac sign is Cancer. She is Swiss-Ghanian with a Swiss and Italian mother and a Ghanaian father.

Megan was 17 years old when “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE” was filmed. Born on February 10, 2006, in Hawaii, she is now 18 years old. Her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she is of Chinese descent.

Yoonchae was just 15 years old during the filming of the music docuseries. She was born on December 6, 2007, in Seoul, South Korea, making her currently 16 years old. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
