Meg Ryan and Rarely-Seen Daughter Daisy Enjoy NYC Mother-Daughter Date

Meg Ryan has mostly kept her 20-year-old daughter Daisy out of the public eye over the years. Recently, however, the two were spotted enjoying a relaxing afternoon together in New York City.

According to photos obtained by Hello!, Meg and Daisy were seen strolling around SoHo. They checked out books at the McNally Jackson Bookstore before heading to Tribeca for some clothes shopping.

Both were dressed casually for the day. Meg wore a white cotton top with black cargo pants, while Daisy sported a butterfly-printed button-down top with jeans.

Meg Ryan adopted Daisy after her divorce from actor Dennis Quaid in 2001. Meg and Dennis also share a son, Jack Quaid, who is now 32 years old.

In 2023, Meg spoke to Glamour about the special bond she shares with Daisy. She described their relationship as “magic” and mentioned how it inspired an adoption storyline in her rom-com “What Happens Later,” which co-stars David Duchovny.

“I put that in there because my daughter is my daughter,” Meg explained. “I’m convinced of magic because of our relationship. We were destined.”

Interestingly, it’s unlikely that Daisy has seen the film. Despite enjoying classic movies together—like “The Philadelphia Story,” “Bringing Up Baby,” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”—they don’t usually watch Meg’s own films.

“I think she’s seen one. She’s blissfully unaware of all of it,” Meg remarked.

Earlier this summer, Meg and Daisy were also seen enjoying Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. Meg shared a picture on Instagram of two people holding hands, their arms adorned with friendship bracelets.

“Last night at Wembley… WOW,” Meg captioned the post. “Thank you, @taylorswift. You’re the hands down the Queen!”
