Megan Moroney: “I’m Not Emotionally Available for a Relationship Right Now”

Megan Moroney's Album Cover

Sorry, guys. Megan Moroney released her sophomore album *Am I Okay?* today, and it’s been on repeat all morning. With songs like “Miss Universe” and “I Know You,” it’s clear that she pulled a lot of inspiration from at least one or two breakups. And while she says she’s currently single, it doesn’t sound like she’s necessarily ready to mingle…

In an interview with Kelleigh Bannen on Today’s Country Radio on Apple Music Country, Megan says she’s been in therapy learning about herself and has realized that she’s not “emotionally available” to have a relationship right now. She explained that she “attracts things that aren’t good” because, in all honesty, with her touring schedule and everything else going on, she just doesn’t have time for a secure and safe relationship, which is what she really wants:
“We figuring it all out.”

“I think in therapy what I’m realizing, too, though, is I don’t know if I’m emotionally available to have a relationship right now. You know what I mean? Because I want a safe, secure relationship and I’m on the road all the time. You know what I mean? So I think I attract things that aren’t good because I don’t have time for something that would be good right now.”

There ya have it, guys. And I think that’s probably something a lot of us know about all too well. I can only imagine it’s that much harder with a schedule like she has right now.

But if you’re in the same situation as Meg right now, she gave us some incredible new songs to listen to that will do the trick for now. I’ll have them all the way up this weekend:
