Michigan Man Charged with Murder in Crash that Killed Young Siblings at Birthday Party

A 66-year-old intoxicated driver crashed into a Michigan business during a child’s birthday party, killing two young siblings. Marshella Chidester was charged with murder, DUI causing death, and DUI causing serious injury. Two children died at the scene, while a third sibling suffered severe injuries. Chidester’s attorney claimed she had a history of seizures and had only consumed one glass of wine before the crash. The grandmother and aunt of the victims spoke out against Chidester at the arraignment. Thirteen others were injured in the crash, with five in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
