New Big Brother Eye Logo Revealed During Love Island Finale

ITV has revealed the new Big Brother eye logo ahead of the series’ much-anticipated return this autumn.

The social experiment show, which involves contestants living together in a house isolated from the outside world for a chance to win a £100,000 prize, made its comeback on ITV2 in 2023. The show was previously canceled by Channel 4 in 2010 and Channel 5 in 2018.

During the Love Island final on Monday night (29 July), where the first ever Black couple won the competition, ITV teased Big Brother’s revamped eye logo in an exclusive promo video.

In the brief 20-second clip, marbled paint splashes across a vibrant yellow background, eventually forming the show’s iconic eye emblem, all set to the show’s theme music.

Fans quickly took to social media to express their approval of Big Brother’s fresh look. “This is a much better eye,” one user wrote on X/Twitter.

“Very colorful like BB20’s eye but really modernized and very different to anything we’ve seen before,” added another fan.

“I actually love it though,” praised a third person.

AJ Odudu and Will Best are set to return as hosts for the upcoming series, which will once again see a new group of housemates entering the Big Brother house later this year.

Speaking about the forthcoming series, ITV stated: “Once again, the public plays a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life-changing cash prize. Who wins? You decide.”

The controversial reality show made its return last year after being cancelled by Channel 5 in 2018 due to low ratings.

Jordan Sangha was crowned the winner of the £100,000 prize last year. The trained lawyer from Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, expressed his astonishment at the result, saying: “I haven’t the foggiest [idea why the public voted for me] but I’m delighted they did.”

ITV also revived the celebrity version of the show. Ibiza Weekender reality star David Potts triumphed over X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, and TV presenter Fern Britton to become the winner.

In his final diary room sign-off before the winner was announced, Potts said: “I have absolutely loved being a Big Brother housemate. It’s been a crazy ride, but don’t forget Big Brother – slay everyday.”
