Northern Lights possibly visible in North Carolina on Sunday night

Over the weekend, North Carolina experienced a rare opportunity to see the Northern Lights due to geomagnetic storms. The best time to view this spectacle is between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. away from city lights. Taking a still photo with a long exposure camera is the best way to capture the lights as they may not be visible to the naked eye. More geomagnetic storms are expected to continue through Sunday night, providing Americans with a third consecutive night of a chance to see the aurora. The aurora was even visible in Florida on Saturday.
