Mass arrests and outrage have spread across U.S. college campuses amid crackdowns on pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Students at prestigious universities are demanding an end to the Israel-Hamas war and university investments that support it. Many arrests have occurred, but some charges have been dropped at some campuses. USC canceled its main commencement ceremony due to protests. Activists have been arrested at Emory University and Princeton University. Other protests have led to arrests at Emerson College, Texas state troopers responded in riot gear to protests at the University of Texas at Austin, and protests continue to spread to other universities across the country.
