NYC congestion pricing starting on June 30: Explore zone map and explore pricing details

New York City’s congestion pricing plan will begin on June 30, charging a fee to enter Manhattan’s Central Business District. The MTA says the plan is necessary to reduce street traffic and raise funds for mass transit projects like improving the subway signal system. The congestion pricing zone includes Lower Manhattan and streets north through 60th Street. Peak hours for congestion pricing are 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with different fees for various types of vehicles. Pending lawsuits, particularly from New Jersey lawmakers, could impact the implementation of congestion pricing.
