Oasis tickets are set to go on sale in Britain and Ireland this Saturday, marking the band’s much-anticipated reunion. Dubbed the “big event of 2025,” this tour is expected to draw both longtime devotees and new admirers who want to experience Oasis live.

The Britpop legends announced their return this week, a full 15 years after their disbandment. The group originally split when lead guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher declared he could no longer work with frontman and brother Liam, following numerous public disputes.

Mark Sutherland, a music business consultant and journalist, noted that the audience is likely to include people who had significant life moments set to Oasis’s music, as well as younger fans eager to hear the hits live for the first time.

To manage the high demand for tickets, Oasis has implemented a pre-sale ballot for fans who can answer a trivia question about the band. General ticket sales will then commence at 9 a.m. (0800 GMT) in Britain and 8 a.m. in Ireland on Saturday.

Consumers are advised to remain cautious of potential scams. Harry Kind from consumer group Which? mentioned that both Oasis and ticket sellers have established measures like the ballot to reduce the chance of scalping and fraudulent activity.

Initially, Oasis announced 14 shows across Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Following an overwhelming response, three additional dates have been added.

The high demand extends beyond just the concert tickets. Cities like Manchester are experiencing a surge in hotel prices, with affordable options being quickly replaced by higher-priced alternatives on travel websites. Some fans have even reported that hotels are canceling prior reservations to relist rooms at inflated rates after the tour dates were announced.

These concerts are expected to inject a substantial amount of money into Britain’s hospitality sector and the broader economy. Paul Haywood-Schiefer, a senior manager at tax advisory firm Blick Rothenberg, highlighted that the shows would generate significant revenue through merchandise sales, travel, accommodation, and local dining establishments, all of which will create related job opportunities.

Even though Oasis has hinted at touring other continents, many international fans are expected to travel to the UK to catch the band on home turf. According to Sutherland, the best place to experience Oasis is undoubtedly the UK, where the band holds immense cultural significance.
