Sales of Oasis music have soared since the band announced its long-anticipated reunion for a series of live gigs next summer. Vinyl and CD sales have skyrocketed by over 500% in the past week at HMV.

The music retailer, which operates nearly 130 high street stores under the HMV and Fopp brands in the UK, as well as an online shop, reported a 526% increase in sales across Oasis’ entire catalog following the reunion tour announcement compared to the previous week.

Among the biggest sellers is the 1994 album Definitely Maybe, with a 443% rise in sales. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? and Knebworth also saw significant increases, with sales jumping by 684% and 209% respectively.

Additionally, HMV reported that pre-orders for the 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe, available this Friday, have doubled. This coincides with the release of tickets for the 14-date reunion tour the following day.

“Oasis are a truly iconic band who have made such a positive impact on British music,” said Phil Halliday, managing director of HMV and Fopp. “Sales figures from the past week, both in-store and online, pay testament to their popularity across the nation. It’s great to see so many people revisiting their vinyl catalog, from classic releases like Definitely Maybe all the way through to the Knebworth LP.”

The HMV figures come as excitement around the reunion tour—the first since the band broke up after a fallout between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher—captures renewed interest from both older fans and a new generation of Gen Z music lovers.

Oasis songs currently constitute a quarter of the UK’s 100 most-played tracks.

Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming service, has seen a 690% global increase in daily streams of Oasis songs since the reunion announcement, compared to average streaming levels. Nine Oasis songs are currently in Spotify’s top 40.

Some of the most popular tracks include Live Forever, which was released shortly before the debut studio album Definitely Maybe, and is now Apple Music’s fifth most-streamed song. Other hits like Don’t Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall, Supersonic, Champagne Supernova, and Some Might Say also rank highly on the platform.

The tour is expected to be the most popular in British history, potentially generating hundreds of millions of pounds for businesses keen to capitalize on the fervor of super fans. Birmingham City University predicts that the 14-date UK and Ireland tour could rake in £400 million in ticket sales and related expenditures alone.

There’s also the possibility of Oasis joining the ranks of mega-earning tour bands, with plans to extend the tour internationally after the initial dates next year.
