Oklahoma at High Risk of Severe Storms Today

Severe storms and tornado threats are expected in Oklahoma today. KOCO Meteorologist Jonathan Conder predicts a level-four moderate risk for severe storms that could produce large hail and tornadoes from Altus through the OKC metro to Stillwater and Bartlesville. The risk is highest in these areas but remains high in surrounding regions as well. Storms are expected to develop in western Oklahoma and the Panhandle before 5 p.m., moving eastward towards the OKC metro and central Oklahoma after 8 p.m. Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane warns of a high-end environment for severe weather and recommends downloading the KOCO 5 App for customized alerts and coverage.
