Oklahoma communities devastated by tornadoes start recovery effort following weekend storms that claimed 4 lives

The destructive outbreak of severe weather across the U.S. led to devastating tornadoes in small towns in Oklahoma, resulting in four deaths, including an infant. In Sulphur, a town of about 5,000 people, many downtown buildings were crumpled, cars and buses were tossed, and houses were left without roofs. The tornado caused injuries to about 30 people and extensive damage throughout the town. President Joe Biden offered federal support to the affected areas. The tornado in Sulphur began in a city park before causing widespread destruction in the downtown area, leaving many residents and officials in shock and disbelief.
