‘Olivia Plath of Welcome to Plathville Confirms New Relationship Post-Divorce’

Ahead of Welcome to Plathville Season 6, Olivia Plath has exclusively confirmed that she is in a new relationship following her divorce from Ethan.

Olivia, 26, recently had a Zoom call with Parade, where she discussed dating as a newly divorced woman after relocating to Los Angeles. She validated fans’ suspicions by confirming that she is indeed dating someone new.

“I have met someone and I am dating, if you can’t tell from my smile,” Olivia said. “It has just been such a healing experience and just such a fun experience.”

Though Olivia didn’t disclose the identity of her new beau, she has given a sneak peek of her boyfriend on social media. (Check out the sixth photo in her recent Instagram carousel).

As viewers will see in Season 6 of Welcome to Plathville, Olivia and her sister Lydia Grace tried speed dating at one point.

“Dating in today’s society is so bizarre,” Olivia explained. “On the one hand, I feel like I’ve had several encounters with people that I’m like, ‘Wow, really nice people exist.’ On the other hand, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, where is the bar? It’s actually like below the floor. Like, what are people doing?'”

During the dating process, Olivia discovered a lot about her own hangups and realized that she “grew up in purity culture and married the first boy I ever held hands with.”

Explaining her divorce was also something she had to work through because of her fundamentalist Christian upbringing.

“I started out dating being ashamed to tell people that I was divorced at 26, because that obviously brought questions and kind of made me have to, like, give a deep dive of my previous life. Like, why did I get married so young? So it just kind of felt like a lot to unpack,” she shared.

“And then the more I sat and thought about it, the more I came to the conclusion that it was nothing for me to be ashamed of,” Olivia continued. “It’s my story. And there’s some parts of it that maybe are not as pretty, but it’s my story and I don’t have to be ashamed of it.”

As for how she met her new boyfriend, Olivia teased, “I guess you’ll have to tune into Season 6 to see a little bit more of that process.”
