The Weather Now Storm Team has issued a tornado watch for Polk and York counties until 7 p.m. as severe thunderstorms are set to affect the Omaha area Monday afternoon and evening. The storms are expected to bring large hail up to 2 inches in diameter, damaging winds up to 75 mph, a few tornadoes, and flash flooding. The severe weather is part of a potential outbreak across the Plains. The storms are forecasted to move out of the area by 10 p.m. Monday night.
