Overnight, SWAT and NOPD officers inundate Tulane’s campus and displace the encampment

SWAT officers arrived at Tulane University’s campus to disperse protestors supporting Palestine. NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick was present as law enforcement cleared the encampment. Multiple demonstrators were arrested after trespassing on private property and causing disruptions. The university issued a statement explaining the removal of protestors and the subsequent arrests made. The university emphasized the importance of free speech but condemned hate speech and criminal behavior. The action was planned to ensure safety on campus.
