The reality TV star and mother of two posted a video on TikTok Wednesday, featuring her son Phoenix wandering around a catamaran. In the video, Phoenix can be seen walking across mesh netting above the sea, exploring the cabin and other areas of the boat.

While the video appeared innocent to some, several parents took issue with the absence of a life vest on the child. They warned Paris that accidents can happen and advised that Phoenix should always wear a flotation device.

Paris responded early Thursday, expressing her appreciation for the advice. She reassured viewers that both she and her husband, Carter Reum, were closely watching Phoenix. Paris also mentioned that the boat was large enough that Phoenix was never near the edge.

This isn’t the first time Paris’s parenting choices have been questioned on social media. However, this time Paris is confidently standing by her decisions.

In May, Paris faced another life jacket controversy when some mothers noticed she had put Phoenix’s life vest on backward. Despite the mistake, many conceded that it was a common error among new mothers.
