Penn initiates disciplinary action against student leaders of Gaza Solidarity Encampment

Penn has opened disciplinary cases into at least three students participating in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment on College Green. The University has stated that these encampment participants are in violation of its policies and are checking IDs in accordance with guidelines. Several student disciplinary cases have been opened, and faculty and staff violations will also face disciplinary processes. The students involved received disciplinary hearing notices from the Center for Community Standards and Accountability. The notices are the first step in disciplinary cases, which involve hearings, witness interviews, and document review. The encampment is continuing on College Green, and U-Night has been relocated due to the encampment.
