Penn warns of repercussions for violating University rules and laws during pro-Palestinian protest camp

The University of Pennsylvania is closely monitoring a pro-Palestinian encampment on College Green, promising consequences for any actions that violate University policies or the law. While the University supports peaceful protest, it will not tolerate actions that disrupt campus operations or create a hostile environment. The protestors are demanding divestment from Israel, corporations benefiting from the Israel-Hamas conflict, and Israeli institutions accused of “scholasticide.” The encampment, which coincided with a faculty walkout, has drawn criticism from various students, faculty, and community members. At the same time, Interim President Larry Jameson and Provost John Jackson Jr. hosted a listening session on divestment and Palestine.
