Penny Lancaster Stuns in Crochet Mini Dress on Holiday with Son Alastair

Loose Women star Penny Lancaster recently offered a peek into her family vacation in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Sharing moments from her trip on Instagram Stories, the 53-year-old TV personality posted a sunlit snap of herself with her model son, Alastair.

The photo captured Penny and Alastair beaming on a picturesque terrace, with Penny lovingly wrapping her arm around her 18-year-old son. Embracing the warm Sardinian weather, Penny sported a stylish white crochet mini dress layered over a black bikini.

Penny’s summer outfit was accentuated with chic accessories, including a monogrammed straw hat, a quilted Chanel handbag, and large sunglasses. She completed her look with caramel-hued peep-toe sandals.

Alastair stood out in white linen shorts paired with a cream mesh shirt and a straw boater hat. His beachy vibe was rounded off with mocha slip-on sandals, ombre sunglasses, and a small gold medallion chain.

Penny shares Alastair and another son, 13-year-old Aiden, with her husband, rock legend Sir Rod Stewart. The couple has been married since 2007 and often share glimpses into their family life.

Alastair has been making strides in the modeling industry, following in his mother’s footsteps. In 2022, he signed a significant modeling contract with Palm Angels, resulting in his image appearing on numerous billboards.

Currently signed with Models1 agency, Alastair has participated in several high-profile photo shoots and magazine spreads. Meanwhile, his father, Rod, is a father to six other children from various relationships.

Penny has been candid about her experience as part of a blended family. In a conversation with HELLO!, she described her role as a stepmother as both “daunting and challenging” but ultimately very rewarding.

Reflecting on her family dynamics, Penny said, “When I first met my husband, his youngest was five and the oldest was 21. So I got to see the different stages that children go through and the challenges they hold, but the rewards as well.”

She added, “It’s been a learning curve but a wonderful one. It’s so lovely that we’re all so close and they all turn to me for advice, to talk about dad, boyfriends, and career choices. It’s a big happy family now.”
