Peter Navarro’s latest bid for release from prison during appeal denied by Supreme Court

The court dismissed Navarro’s plea for emergency relief, stating there were no noted dissents. Navarro, who is 74, is appealing his conviction, arguing executive privilege as his defense. He is the first former White House official to be imprisoned following a contempt of Congress conviction. Another Trump administration member, Steve Bannon, was also found guilty but his prison term is on hold pending appeal.
