Pleasant Hill, Iowa tornado results in one injury

The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado in Pleasant Hill, Iowa causing severe damage including downed power lines, roofs torn off, and uprooted trees. Over 3,000 homes were without power. Little League games were canceled, and one person was hospitalized with minor injuries. Pleasant Hill Fire Chief praised first responders and neighbors for their help. School interruptions were uncertain, and updates were to be provided on the city’s website. The community was seen coming together to assist each other. The town was beginning the recovery process after the tornado hit.
