Police maintain enforcement on college protest encampments as demonstrations spread worldwide

The New York Police Department cleared encampments at New York University and the New School, arresting over 50 demonstrators. Pro-Palestinian protests and police actions continued at various campuses nationwide. At the State University of New York at New Paltz, over 130 people were arrested, while 17 were taken into custody at the University of Notre Dame. In Oregon, law enforcement officers cleared a library at Portland State University for the second time, resulting in at least 30 arrests. The campuses were rocked by ongoing demonstrations and police intervention.
