Police say suspect in custody after shooting leaves 1 student dead at Arlington high school campus.

A student was shot and killed at James Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas, leading to a lockdown on the campus. The victim, an 18-year-old student, was found unresponsive and later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, a 17-year-old student, was arrested and is expected to be charged with murder. The Arlington PD emphasized the need to secure firearms to prevent similar incidents. Reunification efforts for students and families were put in place, with classes canceled for the next day. The motive is currently under investigation, and support services are being offered to all affected by the tragedy.
