Police say video footage of man wrapping belt around woman’s neck in NYC before sexually assaulting her

New York City police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the Bronx by wrapping a belt around her neck. The incident occurred on May 1 at around 3 a.m. on East 152nd Street and Third Avenue. The man, wearing a white sheet to cover his face, lassoed the belt around the woman, causing her to fall unconscious. He then dragged her between two cars and assaulted her before fleeing. The victim is recovering from the assault. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Kashaan Parks, is still at large and police are seeking information on his whereabouts. This incident follows reports of women being punched in downtown Manhattan, with two men arrested in connection with those incidents.
