Prime Video Releases New “Look Inside” Footage for Fallout Series

Prime Video’s live-action Fallout adaptation has garnered significant praise since its premiere in April, being hailed as one of the finest video game adaptations to date. This acclaim is not just limited to audience reviews; the series has also received several nominations at this year’s Emmy Awards. As part of their “for your consideration” campaign, Prime Video has released a new video offering a deeper insight into the making of season 1.

Season 1 of Fallout managed to secure a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. It competes with strong contenders such as 3 Body Problem, The Crown, The Gilded Age, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Shogun, and Slow. “These projects are difficult to bring to life,” says Director and Executive Producer Jonathan Nolan in the video. “It’s a bit of a highwire act across the board, especially episodically. You’ve gotta do eight hours of this, you have to be smart, and you have to trust.”

The series earned a singular performance nomination for Walton Goggins’ portrayal of two contrasting characters: the charming Cooper Howard and his post-apocalyptic counterpart, the Ghoul. Goggins is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, competing against Idris Elba, Donald Glover, Gary Oldman, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Dominic West.

“You tell the story with your face – you tell the story with your voice,” Goggins explains in the video, highlighting the challenges he faced. “And both of those things were dramatically changed with this prosthetic and with the mouthpieces that I wear. I just didn’t anticipate all that I would feel being the Ghoul. What a magical, strange experience it’s been.”

The remarkable journey is set to continue with a second season in the pipeline. While no premiere date has been announced yet, the production team is working diligently to bring new episodes to fans as swiftly as possible.
