The Princess of Wales was seen attending Crathie Kirk on the Balmoral estate, alongside Prince William and their son, Prince George. This was her first appearance at the Scottish church since revealing her cancer diagnosis in March. The 42-year-old Kate attended a Sunday service, exuding grace and elegance.

Prince William and Princess Kate are currently in Scotland to join King Charles on his annual summer retreat at Balmoral. Historically, the couple has flown economy with their three children to Inverness Airport, making their travels less formal and more relatable to the general public.

Before traveling to Scotland, William and Kate had been spending time at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, near the Sandringham estate. This location was also the backdrop for a video message they recorded in August, congratulating Team GB on their efforts in the Paris Olympics. “Congratulations to Team GB,” Kate said cheerfully. “Well done on all you’ve achieved,” William added, echoing her sentiments.

The video showcased Kate in high spirits, wearing a white and navy striped T-shirt, while William wore a Team GB polo. Released on August 11, the video marked one of her few public appearances recently. However, the Wales family was also spotted at Bear Grylls’ Go Wild festival at Holkham Hall earlier this month, where they enjoyed a Nerf gun battle, much to the delight of onlookers.

Kate, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, has scaled back on public engagements this year. She attended Trooping the Colour in June and the Men’s Wimbledon final in July. Despite fewer appearances, she continues to capture the public’s attention and admiration.

Kate began her treatment in February, reporting good progress by June. “I have good days and bad days,” she candidly acknowledged. Though she has been primarily working from home, she expressed hope, stating, “I am not out of the woods yet.”

“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” she explained further.

Kate’s resilience and grace during this challenging period have been an inspiration to many. Balancing her health, family, and royal duties, she remains a pillar of strength and a role model to the public.
