Pro-Palestine organizers at Harvard began an encampment in protest of the suspension of the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee and to demand divestment from Israel’s war in Gaza. The encampment, the largest protest since the former University President’s resignation, consists of tents set up by a smaller group of students while hundreds rallied in front of the John Harvard statue. University restrictions on yard access to prevent protests have been imposed. The protest has been peaceful, with calls for divestment and dropping charges against students. Faculty support, including donations, has been seen at the scene.
