Pro-Palestinian Protesters at MIT Reclaim College Encampment in Support of Cause

Police cleared a pro-Palestinian tent encampment at the University of Chicago as tensions rose with demonstrators on college campuses in the U.S. and Europe. Around 200 protesters had gathered in the Quad for over a week at the University of Chicago. Police dismantled the encampment, but no arrests were made. Demonstrators at MIT and the Rhode Island School of Design were also dealing with new encampments in protest of the Israel-Hamas war. European campuses have also seen protests with arrests made in Amsterdam and dismantling by German police. Protests aim to end the war and call attention to the deaths in Gaza.
