Perfect Family is a new mystery thriller set to premiere soon on KBS2. This highly anticipated series is an adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name by Nyangpa and Joo-Eun. The series is directed by Isao Yukisada, a renowned Japanese film director known for notable works like River’s Edge, Pink and Gray, Five Minutes to Tomorrow, and Narratage.

The drama stars well-known actors Kim Byung-Chul, Park Ju-Hyun, and Yoon Se-Ah as the leading characters. Recently, KBS announced details about the new mystery drama on Instagram, including its release date and time.

The much-awaited K-drama Perfect Family will debut on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, on KBS2. New episodes will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 p.m. KST on the network. Additionally, the series will stream on Viki on the same day, though the release time on the streaming platform may differ.

In the series, Yoon Se-Ah portrays one of the main characters, Ha Eun-Joo, a former neuropsychiatric specialist turned homemaker and mother. Kim Byung-Chul plays Choi Jin-Hyuk, a lawyer who is Eun-Joo’s husband and father to her children. Park Ju-Hyun plays Choi Seon-Hee, the adopted daughter of Jin-Hyuk and Eun-Joo. Another significant character is Seon-Hee’s friend, Park Kyung-Ho, played by Kim Young-Dae.

Yoon Se-Ah has been a part of several notable K-dramas such as Snowdrop, Rain or Shine, Sky Castle, Stranger, My Sassy Girl, Melting Me Softly, The Road: The Tragedy of One, and Sweet Home 2. Kim Byung-Chul is known for his roles in popular K-dramas like Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Descendants of the Sun, All of Us Are Dead, and Doctor Cha. He has also starred with Yoon Se-Ah in Sky Castle.

Park Ju-Hyun is well-known for her characters in Netflix’s Extracurricular, Mouse, The Forbidden Marriage, Zombie Detective, among other shows. Kim Young-Dae has appeared in several noteworthy Korean dramas, including Moon in the Day, The Penthouse: War in Life, and Extraordinary You. He has also starred alongside Park Ju-Hyun in The Forbidden Marriage.

The series centers around the suspicious story of Choi Seon-Hee and her family, who seem perfect from the outside. Seon-Hee is a model student and a loving daughter of Eun-Joo and Jin-Hyuk. Known for her charismatic look, she seemingly leads a comfortable and happy life. However, a tragic and terrifying event turns their lives upside down. The shocking murder of Seon-Hee’s friend Park Kyung-Ho sparks suspicion and distrust within the family. As the story unfolds, the complexity of their relationships increases rapidly, exploring the truth behind the family and the murder.
