Scarlett Johansson Reveals Rare Insight into Daughter Rose’s ‘Girly’ Nature

Scarlett Johansson recently shared an endearing insight about her daughter, Rose, leading up to the release of her new film *Fly Me to The Moon*. The actress revealed that her nine-year-old is much more excited about the upcoming romantic comedy than she ever was about watching an Avengers movie.

“She likes that I play Black Widow, but she’s too scared to watch an *Avengers* movie,” Scarlett admitted. “She’s just like, ‘It’s violent.’ I’m like, ‘Oh God.'” On the contrary, Rose is genuinely enthusiastic about *Fly Me to The Moon*, especially when it comes to the hair and makeup aspects. “It’s just so fun… She’s girly,” Scarlett shared.

The *Black Widow* star shares Rose with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac, whom she divorced in September 2017. Following the separation, Scarlett married Colin Jost, a long-standing performer on Saturday Night Live. Interestingly, Colin makes a cameo in Scarlett’s new film, adding a charming layer to their personal and professional lives.

Speaking about the experience of working with her husband, Scarlett described it as a delightful novelty: “We don’t get to work together really ever because… I mean, we’ve worked together as he’s written stuff for me for SNL, but we never get to perform together.” Their collaboration was made particularly special by director Greg Berlanti, who personally requested Colin’s appearance in the film.

“Greg and Colin, they have a great rapport and they’re both comedy writers and, I think, they have a little bit of a similar personality in some ways,” Scarlett explained. “And so I think he just really was excited to have Colin come and do a cameo. I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m sure if you ask him, I’m not going to ask him.’”

Jokingly, Scarlett mentioned that Colin had to be in the film due to their prenuptial agreement. “If I ask him to do something, he has to be there to support me. He has to be in every one of my films,” she laughed.

The couple looked happy and stylish as they walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of *Fly Me to the Moon*. Scarlett dazzled in a Prada two-piece combo, while Colin sported a black suit, made casual with a marble-patterned shirt, leaving a couple of buttons undone at the top.
