Seminole County sheriff reports family of victim refusing to assist in carjacking investigation.

The husband of the victim in a deadly carjacking in Winter Springs, Miguel Aguasvivas, has stopped cooperating with the investigation into his wife’s death, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Dennis Lemma stated that both Miguel and Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ brother, Luis, have been uncooperative and inconsistent in their statements to detectives. Miguel initially claimed his wife was visiting family, but relatives in the area denied expecting her. Luis conducted his own investigation and implicated Giovany Crespo Hernandez, who was arrested on drug charges. Francisco Estrella Chicon, an Orange County deputy, was also arrested for interfering in the investigation. The connection between Miguel and Luis to Katherine’s death is still under investigation.
