Six fatalities in unrelated accidents occurring within a half mile in Southern California.

Six people were killed in two separate crashes on Pearblossom Highway in the Antelope Valley within hours of each other. The first crash occurred on Sunday night, killing two drivers and three passengers. The second crash happened on Monday morning, involving a big rig and a Honda minivan. The victim in Monday’s collision has not been identified, and the cause of the crash is unclear. Both crashes are under investigation. A Sigalert was issued for lane closures related to the Sunday night crash. The California Highway Patrol is investigating both incidents.
