Son in police custody after double murder, kidnapping suspect shot and killed himself following chase

Authorities in Oregon confirmed that a former police officer suspected of killing two people in Washington and kidnapping his son shot and killed himself after a police chase on Interstate 5. The 1-year-old boy is safe. The suspect, Elias Huizar, fled after allegedly killing his ex-wife and another female. A GoFundMe has been set up for the victims. An Amber Alert was issued, and Huizar was spotted at a Plaid Pantry in Portland before the chase ended in his death. Police confirmed the infant was unharmed. West Richland police will hold a press conference on Wednesday.
