Sources suggest that a “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” trailer is set to release next week. Speculation had been circulating whether the trailer would drop in August or September, but insider DanielRPK now claims that the trailer will be released on August 27th.

Before getting too excited, it’s important to consider that previous estimates from leakers and insiders, including DanielRPK, have predicted release months with no results to show for them. However, those predictions typically referenced broad monthly timelines rather than a specific date like this latest rumor. This specificity could lend more credibility to the August 27th date.

Regarding what we know about “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” the filming wrapped up in March. It’s confirmed that Shadow the Hedgehog will play a significant role in this installment, similar to Knuckles’ central role in “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.” While Idris Elba lent his voice to Knuckles, reports suggest that Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow the Hedgehog. However, Paramount has yet to confirm this casting news. The forthcoming trailer will likely feature Shadow prominently, possibly providing some clarity on his portrayal.
