State’s Attorney of Champaign County consulted before police intervention at protest, ready to pursue prosecution if necessary

Law enforcement agencies are responding to a large pro-Palestine encampment on the University of Illinois campus, with the Champaign County State’s Attorney supporting potential arrests. Despite no arrests being made as of 6:30 p.m., there have been confrontations between protestors and law enforcement at the Alma Mater Statue.
