Strangers Fund 10-Year-Old’s Taylor Swift Trip After Chemo

Ten-year-old Kennedy Coke is a major Swiftie. “All we do is talk about Taylor Swift,” her mom says.

Like many little girls, Kennedy adores Taylor Swift. However, Kennedy’s story is unique because she has been battling a rare form of lung cancer since she was just 2 years old. She has experienced periods of remission, but recently the family received some disheartening news.

Due to a genetic mutation, Kennedy has developed a very aggressive form of uterine cancer. This condition required her to undergo a hysterectomy and she’s now in the midst of twelve weeks of chemo treatment. Her mother detailed their challenging journey in a TikTok video, expressing how desperately Kennedy wants to see Taylor Swift live in concert. In the video, mom pleads for any assistance to make this dream a reality.

As fate would have it, Swift’s Eras Tour will return to the United States this fall, coinciding with the end of Kennedy’s chemo treatments. To help make Kennedy’s dream come true, her mom started a GoFundMe campaign with hopes of raising enough money to take her to see Swift perform at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this November.

Strangers responded with incredible generosity. So far, Kennedy’s fund has amassed $16,000 in donations. The moment Kennedy’s mom shared this joyous news with her daughter was captured on camera, showing their heartfelt gratitude.

Thanks to the kindness of strangers, Kennedy and her parents will be able to fly to Indianapolis, stay in a hotel, and experience Taylor Swift’s concert live.
