Students from MIT, Emerson College, and Tufts University launch pro-Palestinian camps following the lead of Columbia University protests

Pro-Palestinian camps have been set up at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tufts University, and Emerson College following protests at Columbia University. Over 100 arrests have been made at Columbia as students demand divestment from Israel. Jewish students at Columbia feel threatened and protest chants are criticized for being antisemitic. New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, is not comfortable supporting Columbia until action is taken to protect students. Jewish students at local universities feel unsafe and threatened by ongoing protests. MIT students push for research ties with Israel to be cut, while Tufts University disapproves of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement. Harvard Yard restricts access to avoid protests.
