Students from UVM and Middlebury College unite to construct pro-Palestine encampments on campus grounds

Students at the University of Vermont and Middlebury College have set up encampments calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. UVM students were playing music and setting up tents on campus. A student from UVM’s Students for Justice in Palestine club stated they are calling for a ceasefire and for UVM to divest from supporting the occupation of Palestine. UVM Police were monitoring the camp for safety. Middlebury College had 30 tents pitched on campus with a peaceful demonstration supporting free expression and safety. The colleges are committed to promoting discussion and questioning of ideas, even if controversial.
