Supporters rally at UT Dallas campus in support of Palestine – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

College students across the U.S. are holding pro-Palestinian rallies, including at the University of Texas at Dallas. The movement started at Columbia University, calling for an end to Israel’s assault on Gaza and divesting from companies linked to the war. Encampments have spread to various campuses, resulting in arrests. Protests at UT Austin were forcibly removed, while UT Dallas dismantled an encampment and made arrests. Students gathered at Chess Plaza with signs supporting Palestine. Protestors face charges for trespassing. Most protests remained peaceful, but some, like at UCLA, turned violent. Police have intervened at various universities to break up demonstrations.
