Supreme Court to determine if Biden administration can enforce regulations on ‘ghost guns’

The Supreme Court has agreed to review the Biden administration’s ability to regulate ghost guns, firearms made from kits people can assemble at home. The lower court invalidated the regulations, but they are currently in effect during litigation. The rules require licensing, serial numbers, background checks, and record-keeping for kit manufacturers. The case challenges the ATF’s authority to regulate ghost guns and does not focus on the right to bear arms. The conservative majority in the Supreme Court has previously supported gun rights, but this case is specifically addressing regulatory authority. A decision is pending.
