The director who will be behind the cameras of the film is unknown. It is also not known if the cast will be completely original or if some of the veterans will be recovered. As for a release date: there is no set date, but it is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2025.

Scary Movie, directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, was released in 2000 and parodied horror genre titles that had been released a few years earlier. The main victims of the first installment were I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream. Only a year later came its sequel Scary Movie 2.

Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 were released, respectively, in 2003 and 2006. The last installment, Scary Movie 5 was long in coming: it hit theaters in 2013. In this way, 12 years will have passed since this last title and the premiere of Scary Movie 6.

The announcement of a new film inevitably leads us to wonder which films will be the victims of Scary Movie 6. The truth is Blumhouse has all the potential to become the most parodied studio.
