Swedish House Mafia to Perform at Will Ferrell’s Ultimate DJ Party

Excitement is in the air as it’s been announced that Swedish House Mafia will perform at a charity event hosted by Will Ferrell this fall. The event, titled Will Ferrell’s Ultimate DJ House Party, is set for October 26 and promises a memorable performance by the renowned electronic music trio, all under the entertaining guidance of the legendary comedian.

The party, taking place at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, is described on its website as “a unique and wild celebration of house music featuring some of the biggest DJs in the world, along with unique performances and special guests, all hosted by America’s Sweetheart, Will Ferrell.”

Tickets for the event will be available for the general public starting this Thursday, July 18. However, VIP passes are already on sale. The arena can hold around 10,400 attendees. This particular performance will fit into Swedish House Mafia’s busy fall schedule, which includes a residency at XS in Las Vegas starting on August 31 and wrapping up in late November.

The announcement of the event was hinted at in a video posted on Swedish House Mafia’s social media accounts. The video features Ferrell at a studio turntable, blasting the group’s 2010 hit “One (Your Name).” Ferrell humorously declares that he’ll be performing at the event “with my band, Swedish House Mafia.”

Clad in dark sunglasses and a black T-shirt, Ferrell then welcomes the trio into the room and signs off with an enthusiastic call to action: “Chicago. Be there. Don’t p–s these guys off.”

Importantly, all proceeds from the event will benefit Cancer For College, a charity founded by Ferrell’s college friend and three-time cancer survivor Craig Pollard. This organization, established 30 years ago, provides college scholarships to cancer survivors.
