SZA Receives Fan’s Math Homework Request: Her Response

A SZA fan has been struggling in math class and sought help from the “Snooze” singer for their geometry homework. In a heartwarming Instagram DM exchange that went viral on social media, the R&B star tried to recall her geometry knowledge to assist the fan.

“SZA I’m failing geometry can you give me math tips,” the fan messaged.

The four-time Grammy winner humorously replied, “Lmaooo ma’am I’m a math dummy I’m not sure what u expected. Tell me about the shapes chile how can I help?”

The fan then shared a photo of their homework, specifically a “Finding Coordinates” section. They expressed their frustration, saying, “I just can’t do this.”

SZA, despite her willingness to help, found herself stumped by the geometry questions. She candidly admitted, “Oh b—h ur cooked.”

Although she couldn’t solve the homework, SZA—whose real name is Solana Rowe—shared the exchange on her Instagram Story, appreciating the fan for having faith in her. She captioned the post, “I appreciate the faith in me.”

While SZA’s math skills might not be her strong suit, her songwriting remains outstanding. In June, she added another accolade to her collection by winning the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2024 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards. SZA is notably the second Black woman to receive this honor, following Alicia Keys.

As for her music career, SZA has taken a step back since releasing her single “Saturn” in February. Nonetheless, her previous project, “SOS,” remains popular, maintaining a spot at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 as of the chart dated August 31.
