Taylor Swift’s recent performances in Milan, Italy, were filled with unexpected yet humorous moments as she faced pest issues and piano troubles during her acoustic set at San Siro Stadium on July 13-14.

On Saturday night, Swift jokingly accepted her fate when she swallowed a bug while on stage. “Swallowed another one,” she quipped to a cheering crowd. As bugs swarmed around the outdoor stadium, she paused to explain her dilemma: “I knew it would happen ’cause there’s so many bugs here tonight. I just need to cough a little bit.”

At the time, Swift was seated at the piano, performing a poignant mashup from her Red era, featuring “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew.” This emotional performance followed her acoustic guitar mashup of “The 1” and “Wonderland.” Swift shared, “I’ve never done this in the acoustic section before,” referring to “The 1,” a track from her Folklore album.

The next night, Swift continued with her planned surprises, playing a mashup of “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “Red” on her acoustic guitar. However, her piano performance faced more technical challenges when it came time to perform “Getaway Car” mashed with “Out of the Woods.”

“You know what, we finally broke it. We have finally broken this thing,” Swift joked, as her tech crew rushed to fix the piano. Though she struggled to close the piano’s top initially, she celebrated with a cheerful, “I did it!” before resuming her song with a big grin.

Aside from these funny disruptions, the Milan performances featured more surprises that delighted fans. Swift debuted three new Eras Tour costumes. On Saturday, she wore a dazzling black-and-gold dress for the Fearless segment and a newly reimagined white Vivienne Westwood dress with lyrics from “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” for her Tortured Poets era. Fans noticed that the Fearless dress had a Gatsby-esque vibe, reminiscent of her Reputation era.

Sunday saw another costume change with Swift donning a new gown for the Speak Now segment. This new ensemble was prominently purple, aligning perfectly with the theme of Speak Now. Fans eagerly shared a collage showcasing her sparkling Speak Now gown collection from The Eras Tour.

As the surprise song performances created buzz online, Swift is set to continue her tour next in Germany, with stops in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, and Munich.
