An 18-year-old has been charged following a shooting at Uptown Minneapolis’ “Nudieland” concert venue in 2023, resulting in one death and at least six injuries. The suspect, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, is facing charges of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and six counts of felony assault. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office is considering whether to move the case to adult court. The shooting occurred at a backyard venue attended by LGBTQIA+ community members following hostile interactions and derogatory comments. One victim, August Golden, died, and police are still searching for the second suspect involved.
