The Cat Lady Debate Continues With Maude Apatow's Tory Burch Campaign

Cats, along with their doting owners, are making waves again. American fashion designer Tory Burch has unveiled a limited-edition collection named Animal House, featuring actress and cat enthusiast Maude Apatow from the show Euphoria as the face of the campaign.

Animal House, part of Tory Burch’s Resort 2024 collection, showcases the designer’s iconic accessories, including best-sellers like the Kira Shoulder Bag, Miller t-strap sandals, swimwear, and other apparel. The collection is distinctively adorned with images by German photographer Walter Schels, notably his 1994 black-and-white portrait titled Cat, which captures a fluffy feline mid-yawn, tongue out. Schels is renowned for his compelling portraits of artists, celebrities, and political figures.

The campaign, photographed by Ellen Fedors, features Maude Apatow and her cherished cat Dolly. Their photoshoot took place in a corner store in SoHo, paying homage to New York City’s beloved shops and their resident cats.

This unique collection is available for purchase starting Tuesday, August 13, on Tory Burch’s website, as well as at their boutiques in Mercer Street, Melrose Avenue, and the Miami Design district.

Furthermore, from Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18, Tory Burch is hosting a special three-day event in SoHo to celebrate the launch of this exclusive line. The event, held at 186 Prince Street, will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees can engage in a scratch-off game, offering a chance to win exclusive prizes.
